Last year, we overhauled our complete corporate design: new logo, new colors, new website. The idea behind it was clear: our brand presence should show everywhere what Substantio stands for: Enlighten your product compliance. Bringing light into darkness. Dissolving complexity. Creating clarity.
What we achieved for our brand and website, we’re now continuing in our software: a consistent user experience from the first impression to daily work.
So we brought Estefania Alvarez on board – the designer who had already redesigned our brand presence. Together with our development team, she created Substantio 3.0: an interface that’s just as clear, bright, and organized as our website. And above all, one that does one thing: make compliance work easier.

When you open Substantio 3.0 for the first time, you’ll see it at first glance: Brighter, friendlier, clearer – the familiar structure remains.
The colors have become softer: no more harsh black, but harmonious tones that match the Substantio corporate design. More light, as our claim promises. Color-coded markings show you at a glance what’s important:
Hover effects give you exactly the information you need – without detours.
Estefania’s big mission. More distance between elements. Clearer content organization. Columns that can be flexibly adjusted. The result: Your workspace shows you at a glance what the status of your compliance data is. No information overload, but the essentials – immediately visible.
The new Files section brings all your certificates, attachments, and documents together in one place, with filters that think like your daily routine.

Find instead of search. In addition to full-text search, the new “Extended Search” offers helpful search filters so you can be sure to find what you need – exactly where you need it. The search field used to take up a lot of space at the top of the screen. Now? A prominent button in Substantio blue, always in the upper right, always within reach.

What does this mean in practice? The software gives you feedback: Buttons and controls react with visual effects when they’re active. You immediately see what’s clickable, what can be edited, where you currently are. No more guesswork.
And because we know that new interfaces can raise new questions, we’ve expanded our Help section. A comprehensive knowledge base with screenshot videos and step-by-step instructions guides you through all functions.

Absolutely not. Your data, bills of materials, declarations, and settings remain completely intact. Workflows become clearer, paths shorter; permissions work as usual.
Not necessarily. Most users find their way around immediately. But we’ll accompany you through the software update and gladly give you an overview. Otherwise, we offer tutorials in our knowledge base that clearly explain all processes in the software with relevant screenshots.
The new Files section with comprehensive search functionality is the highlight. With it, you’ll find all PDFs, attachments, and documents lightning-fast. The advanced search has been optimized – with full-text search and extensive filters. It has been redesigned so it’s always at hand.
Yes. With Substantio 3.0, you create DPPs for any product: automated and in the desired formats (AAS, JSON, HTML, PDF, and many more). You also receive evaluations for your life cycle assessments or ESG and LCA reports.
