What is a RCD Declaration?
A Regulatory Compliance Declaration (RCD) is a formal declaration with which you document whether your product meets the legal requirements.
Important: A declaration of conformity is required as an official document to confirm compliance with the applicable regulations.
Note: If the regulations change, you have to do a new declaration.
What is a FMD Declaration?
For a Full Material Declaration (FMD), you have to provide a complete list of all materials and substances contained in a product.
Advantage: An FMD is the best form of declaration. If regulations change, you do not have to declare again.
What is an Unknown/Obsolete part?
An unknown or obsolete part can also be declared in the Substantio software if no information about the materials are available or if the product is obsolete, unavailable, unknown, or cannot be assigned.
Important: This form of declaration is not sufficient in the long term.
